hinomeでは藍染めの原料である蓼藍（たであい）を地元、朝倉市で育てる取り組みを行っております。

かつて朝倉市でも藍の栽培やすくも作りが行われていたと聞き、その文化をもう一度この土地に根づかせたいという思いから、数年前より栽培とすくも作りを始めました。

まだ全ての染料を朝倉産にできているわけではありませんが、将来的にはすべての甘木染に使用する染料を地元でまかなうことを目指しています。

地域に根ざした文化を大切にし、使う人がその背景にある土地や物語を感じられるプロダクトをこれからも生み出していきます。

At hinome, we are cultivating Tadeai (Japanese indigo) — the raw material for indigo dye — locally in Asakura City.

It is said that indigo cultivation and sukumo (fermented indigo dye material) production once flourished in this region.

With the desire to revive that tradition and root it once again in this land, we began growing indigo and making sukumoseveral years ago.

Although not all of our dyes are sourced from Asakura yet, our goal is to eventually produce every dye used for Amagi-zome locally.

We cherish the culture rooted in our community and continue to create products that allow people to feel the stories and spirit of this place.
